Tonbridge Town Centre - Portas Pilot Bid

The report provided an update on the initiative being taken to submit a bid for Tonbridge to be selected as one of 12 pilot towns following a recent review into the future of high streets commissioned by the Government and undertaken by Mary Portas.
The Cabinet thanked everyone involved in preparing the bid in the tight timescale for response.
The Cabinet resolved that:
The Portas Review Pilot bid in respect of Tonbridge and the Council's participation in the proposed "Town Team" be endorsed.
Reasons: As set out in the joint report of the Director of Planning, Transport and Leisure and Central Services Director.
